Elijah Lewis Jr. is a gifted servant of the Lord Jesus Christ who puts the Lords Jesus ands serving the Body of Christ first. While growing up, music was a constant in Lewis' life. As a result, his ingenious level of musicianship has given him a keen ability to acknowledge and hear music in everything. Yet, he humbly credits it all to God as the head of his life. "God is my whole being," Lewis says. "I'm just a vessel of clay and He comes to visit me when He needs to do something in the earth. I'm just a vessel doing the will of God." With hopes of broadening his musical horizons, Lewis moved to the Detroit area from Mississippi. Shortly after arriving in Detroit, Lewis met Dr. Mattie Moss Clark, developing a relationship that would ultimately pave the way for his success in the Gospel music industry. Upon meeting Dr. Clark and attending her music conservatory, Lewis has worked alongside such notable producers as Rodney Jerkins, Joe "Flip" Wilson, Fred Hammond and many more. He has also worked with artists such as Mary- Mary, Dorinda Clark- Cole, Tim Bowman, Commissioned, Lexi, and Natalie Wilson & SOP. He has received the award for the Best Artist of the Year in the South at the Announcers' Guild in Mississippi and has appeared in the Informer. Being adept in music, film, sound production, and digital media projects, Lewis' goal is to approach music from a universal standpoint in order to bring forth a new sound that will give way to a three-dimensional experience. This new sound experience will not only allow the hearing of the music, but will also stimulate the visual senses as well as the ability to feel the music. One technique that Lewis will employ in order to bring this to pass is the addition of visual to sound by adding video/animation. After serving six years as a minister and Media Director in the Worship Arts department of Bethesda Bible Church in Ypsilanti for six years, Lewis has now brought his unique talents of combining music with cutting edge technology to Detroit World Outreach (DWO), the largest multi-cultural, multi-racial church in the Detroit area, pastured By Benjamin A.
